It has been some time since i posted under Jussmartenuf here on Blogger, the reason being i have been using Facebook as a convenient format. But times, they are a changing, and some very important issues are slipping past inasmuch as a great many people have left Facebook, at least for a while.
There are two issues i would like to touch on, both provoked by articles from the New York Times. There are some who, because of the editorial position of the Times, believe that all the news they print is, to use a Trump coined term, fake news. Not so, the same as all the news from FOX is not based on lies, you have to be jussmartenuf to know how to separate the pepper from the fly shit, i have been doing it for some time now.
We all know that Trump has trumpeted that trade wars are "easy to win"; well it seems that just ain't so. Midwest farmers and agriculture in general in the U.S. of A. is already feeling the pinch of Agent Orange's folly. This link and the comments attached are worth your reading if you think trade wars are easy to win.
The other issue that has really set me off is FOX news' along with Trump's campaign to destroy the integrity of our Justice system.
Every now and then i watch Fox, in particular Hannity, as i want to know what is being said in support of Trump and that is the place to go. Please excuse the verbiage that follows, but it is the best way i know to describe him: Hannity is a mind fucker.
He speaks very fast and i doubt most of his fans have the listening skills needed to follow him and separate the fact from fiction. There is a lot of truth in what he says, but it is distorted and often not the entire truth.
Someday there must be a price paid for the damage he does, and for this he is paid the figure of $36,000,000.00 per year i am told.
Tragic, but that is life folks just be forewarned.
